Aboriginal spirituality is based on the idea that all being were created to live in harmony, and that an individual's life is dependent on the wellbeing of life around them, in terms of the land, other humans, and other creatures. Aboriginal laws had no legal status and Aboriginal entitlement to land was denied. Their spirituality supports a polytheistic religion.

These beliefs mostly correlate to the origin of life and the meaning of death. "Aboriginal spirituality is defined as at the core of Aboriginal being, their very identity. It gives meaning to all aspects of life including relationships with one another and the environment. All objects are living and share the same soul and spirit as Aboriginals.
